Help us grow the Tinkd Tool Library!
We would love your help! If you have tools you would like to donate or lend to Tinkd Tool Library, your contribution will help us expand our collection and offer even more options to our community.
We welcome all sorts of tools, including hand tools, power tools, gardening tools and cleaning equipment.
Before donating your tools…
To ensure health and safety for members and users, please make sure that the tools you are donating/lending do not have broken or missing parts. For power tools, please follow these simple checks:
Check the plug: make sure the plug has insulation (refer to photo) , with no cracks, exposed wires or damage. We cannot accept power tools with damaged plugs or exposed wiring.
- Check that the tool works: If safe to do so, check that the tool starts and runs properly, without unusual noises or obvious faults.
- Include any extras: If you have the instruction manual, accessories, or the original bag or case, we would love to receive these too!
All donated tools will be inspected by our team before being added to the Tinkd Tool Library collection.
We can’t accept all tools
While we appreciate all donations, we reserve the right to decline tools that are unsafe, damaged or unsuitable for community use. We thank you for your understanding.
How to donate or lend a tool
- Email toollibrary@tinkd.nz with the list of tools you want to donate (with brand and type if possible).
- A member of our team will provide the details, including where and when to drop off your tools.
- Please note that we reserve the right to decline tools if they are unsuitable or unsafe.
- Would you prefer to lend a tool rather than donate it? That is welcome too! We will record your name and the details of the tool so that we can arrange its return when you request it.
