Tinkd Makerspace was proud to host the first ever Repair Cafe in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. Held on Saturday 24th September 2022 in Durham Street open from 10am to 12pm.
We put the call out to repairers and tinkerers and we were delighted at the response we got. On the day itself we had nine volunteer repairs covering the following areas:
- general household
- small electricals
- textiles
- bikes
- computing and technology
Visitors were invited to book in and tell us about one item that they wanted to bring to be assessed and hopefully repaired.
Here are some photos from the day. We hope to be able to run a Repair Cafe session on a monthly basis, the next event to be on Saturday 29th October 2022.
